  • Heating output: 1600 W
  • Maximum pump pressure, static: 15 bar
  • Maximum water tank capacity (without filter): 1.7 l
  • Maximum bean container capacity: 300 g
  • Cable length: 100 cm
  • Dimensions (H x B x D): 385 x 280 x 479 mm
  • Weight, unfilled: 9.3 kg

Usage Features:

The machine offers various settings to customize the coffee experience.

  • Power On/Off: The O/I switch (9) turns the appliance on or off. It's recommended to run a rinse program or use the service button (12) to switch off.
  • Drink Selection: The "Drink selection" rotary knob (14) allows choosing between small espresso, espresso, small café crème, café crème, large café crème, and double versions of each.
  • Coffee Strength: The "Coffee strength" rotary knob (13) adjusts coffee intensity (very mild, mild, medium, strong) or selects pre-ground coffee.
  • Grind Settings: The selector (3) adjusts grind settings from coarse to fine, but only while the grinding unit is running to prevent damage.
  • Water Hardness: The water hardness can be set (levels 1-4) to ensure accurate descaling reminders. A test strip is provided for this.
  • Automatic Switch-off: The appliance can be set to automatically switch off after 15 minutes to 4 hours of inactivity, with a default of 1 hour.
  • Brewing Temperature: The brewing temperature can be adjusted (low, medium, high).
  • Hot Water Dispensing: Hot water can be dispensed for about 40 seconds by opening the milk frother (6).
  • Milk Froth Preparation: Steam for frothing milk is generated by pressing the steam button (11). The milk frother (6) can be pulled out to open and pushed in to close. Cold milk with at least 1.5% fat content is recommended for optimal froth.
  • Ground Coffee Usage: The machine can also use ground coffee (not instant coffee), with a maximum of two level measuring spoons per use.
  • LED Display: Various LEDs (15) indicate appliance status, such as empty water tank (D), exhausted water filter (D flashes), empty bean container (E), steam valve status (F/F flashes), ground coffee selection (G), drip tray status (H/H flashes), and brewing unit door status (I/I flashes).

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance and cleaning are crucial for optimal performance and longevity.

  • Daily Cleaning:
    • Wipe the housing with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Immediately remove any traces of limescale, coffee, milk, and descaler.
    • Remove and empty the drip tray (8c) and coffee grounds container (8b). Clean the panel (8a) and grate (8d).
    • Remove and clean the drawer (4).
    • Remove and clean the float (8e).
    • Dishwasher-safe parts include the drip tray (8c), coffee grounds container (8b), grate (8d), aroma cover (2), and measuring spoon (18).
    • Do not put the panel (8a), float (8e), drawer (4), or brewing unit (5a) in the dishwasher.
    • Wipe the inside of the appliance (tray holders and drawer).
    • The drip tray (8c) and coffee grounds container (8b) should be emptied and cleaned daily to prevent mold.
  • Milk Frother Cleaning: The milk frother (6) must be cleaned after each use. It should be allowed to cool down before dismantling. Dismantle by pulling down the metal sleeve, twisting off the steam nozzle (6d), and removing the frothing tube (6c). Clean all parts with a detergent solution and soft brush, ensuring the air hole (6e) is thoroughly cleaned. Rinse and dry all parts before reassembling.
  • Brewing Unit Cleaning: The brewing unit (5a) should be cleaned regularly.
    • An automatic pre-cleaning rinse occurs when the service button (12) is pressed briefly (if coffee was dispensed previously), after which the appliance switches off.
    • For thorough cleaning, the brewing unit (5a) should be removed regularly. To do this, switch off the appliance (9), open the brewing unit door (5b), slide the red lock (5d) to the left, press the red pushbutton (5c), and withdraw the brewing unit. Rinse it thoroughly under running water (without detergent or dishwasher).
    • Wipe the inside of the appliance with a damp cloth to remove coffee residues.
    • Allow the brewing unit (5a) and the interior to dry before reinserting.
    • After thorough cleaning, the seals on the brewing unit should be greased regularly with special grease (order no. 311368).
  • Service Programme: The appliance will indicate when a service program (cleaning and descaling) is needed by flashing the service button (12). This program takes approximately 35 minutes and requires specific cleaning and descaling tablets (TCZ6001, TCZ6002). The water filter (if used) must be removed before starting the service program.
  • Frost Protection: To prevent damage during transport or storage, the appliance must be completely emptied. This involves dispensing steam from the milk frother (6), then switching off the appliance (9), and emptying the water tank (16) and drip tray (8).
