This disc contains important updates for your Bose® DVD
home entertainment system. Choose a time when you will
not be using your system and follow the steps below to
install this update.
IMPORTANT: Be sure all the system's components are plugged
in and powered while you perform this system update.
1 On your Bose remote control, press
2 Open the CD/DVD tray. (Press OPEN/CLOSE button on a Lifestyle®
media center or EJECT button on a 3-2-1 media center.)
3 Place the update disc in the CD/DVD tray. Close the tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE button or EJECT button again. The update
should start automatically and within a few seconds READING should
appear on the media center display.
NOTE: If READING does not appear within 30 seconds after you close
the CD/DVD tray, press the PLAY W button on your Bose remote
control.
During the update, various messages will appear on the display.
PLEASE WAIT - CHECKING may remain on the display for several
minutes or longer. A system update will take approximately 10 minutes.
An update for the uMusic™ system database on a Lifestyle® system may
take approximately one hour.
NOTE: If at any time the display remains blank for more than 10 seconds,
press ON/OFF button on your media center to restart.
NOTE: If an error message appears on the display, please record the error
code and call your local service center (see enclosed sheet).
4 The update is complete when this message appears on the display:
SOFTWARE UPDATE 100%
PLEASE REMOVE DISC
5 Press OPEN/CLOSE button or EJECT
