Other potential issues include insufficient hydraulic oil, which may require you to locate any leaks, or using an extension cable with insufficient A.W.G., which means you should change to a cable of higher A.W.G.

  Oil leaks from your Boss Log Splitter's hydraulic system or other points can occur for several reasons. The air may be sealed in the hydraulic system while operating, so loosen the vent plug before operating the log splitter. Ensure the vent plug is tightened before moving the log splitter. Also, check that the oil drain bolt is tight.
