This document provides a user manual for the Boult Audio TrueBuds, a pair of wireless earbuds designed for an enhanced audio experience. The manual outlines the pairing process, functional operations, charging instructions, and troubleshooting steps, along with important safety precautions.

Function Description

The Boult Audio TrueBuds are Bluetooth-enabled wireless earbuds that allow users to listen to music, make and receive calls, and interact with voice assistants. They are designed for use with mobile devices running iOS 8.0/Android 4.3 or above. The earbuds feature a master-slave configuration, where one earbud (the master) connects to the Bluetooth device and then to the other earbud (the slave), but both earbuds can also be used independently.

Usage Features

• Pairing:

  • First-time use: Before initial use or after a long period of disuse, ensure both the earbuds and the charging case are fully charged.
  • Automatic pairing: To pair, open the charging case and remove the earbuds. They will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
  • Bluetooth connection: On your phone, turn on Bluetooth and search for "Boult Audio TrueBuds" to connect.
  • Indicator lights: During pairing, the master earbud's red and blue lights will flash alternately, while the slave earbud's indicator will flash blue slowly. Once connected, both earbud indicators will flash blue slowly.
  • Subsequent use: For subsequent use, simply take the L/R earphones out of the charging case. They will power on and connect to each other automatically. The master earbud will then automatically connect to the last paired Bluetooth device.
  • Mono mode: Both earbuds can be used separately, allowing for single-ear use.

• Functional Operations (Touch Pad Control):

  • Play/Pause: Single click on either earbud's touch pad.
  • Previous Song: Double-click on either earbud's touch pad.
  • Next Song: Double-click on either earbud's touch pad.
  • Volume Up: Press and hold the right earbud's touch pad for 3 seconds.
  • Volume Down: Press and hold the left earbud's touch pad for 3 seconds.
  • Answer Call/Hang Up: Single click on either earbud's touch pad during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold either earbud's touch pad for 2 seconds.
  • Voice Assistant: Press and hold either earbud's touch pad for 2 seconds to activate the voice assistant.
  • Power On: Open the charging case cover or press and hold either earbud's touch pad for 3 seconds.
  • Power Off: Close the charging case cover. The earbuds will also power off automatically if not connected to a device for 10 minutes.

• Volume Adjustment Tips:

  • When adjusting the volume, press and hold the operation area of the earbud without releasing until the desired volume is reached.
  • It is recommended to use the earbuds at a reasonable volume and for a reasonable duration to prevent hearing damage from prolonged high-volume listening.
  • In Mono mode (using a single earbud), volume cannot be adjusted directly from the earbud; it must be adjusted via the connected phone.

Maintenance Features

• Charging:

  • Charging Case:
    • When charging, the indicator light on the case flashes white.
    • When fully charged, all four white indicator lights remain lit. Disconnect the charging device from the case once fully charged. The charging case uses a Type-C charging port.
  • Earbuds:
    • When charging inside the case, the earbud indicator light flashes red.
    • When fully charged, the earbud indicator light turns off, and the charging case will automatically power off.

• Resetting the Earbuds (Troubleshooting Connection Issues):

  • If the earbuds fail to connect to a mobile device or if the left and right earbuds cannot connect to each other normally, a reset may be necessary.
  • Reset process:
    1. Open the charging case and take out the earbuds.
    2. When the earbuds flash blue lights, simultaneously press and hold the touch control area of both the left and right earbuds for 5 seconds.
    3. The earbud indicators will flash red and blue alternately, then release.
    4. The earbuds will then automatically enter pairing mode.
  • Note: The long-press action for reset is only valid when the earbuds are flashing blue lights. It is not valid when they are flashing red and blue lights.

• Safety Precautions:

  • Do not remove or refit the earbuds for any reason, as this can damage the headset and void the warranty.
  • Avoid contact with corrosive liquids, as this can cause serious damage and will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Do not expose the equipment to extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 45°C).
  • Keep the equipment lights away from the eyes of children or animals.
  • Do not use the equipment during thunderstorms, as this may lead to abnormal operation and an increased risk of electric shock.
  • Avoid using the earbuds in environments with large electromagnetic interference and radiation, due to limitations in Bluetooth product connection distance and environmental factors.
  • While driving, avoid using the earbud to listen to music, make, or receive calls to prevent distraction and ensure safety.
  • Warning: The product contains a built-in lithium battery. Do not expose it to strong sunlight, roasting, or fire, as it may explode.
