Since many areas of the world have specific power requirements, an AC power cord
may not be included with your printer. The power cord must meet your local electrical
requirements.

• The overall length must be less than 9.8' (3.0 m).
• It must be rated for at least 5A, 250 VAC.
• The chassis ground (earth) MUST be connected to ensure safety and reduce
electromagnetic interference. The ground connection is handled by the third wire
(earth) in the power cord (see Figure 35).
• The AC power plug and IEC 320 connector must bear the certification mark of at
least one of the known international safety organizations shown in Figure 36.
