Why won't my Brander TR6029 NG burner light?
- MMichael BeanAug 11, 2025
Several factors may prevent your Brander Patio Heater burner from lighting. There could be a blockage in the orifice, or air in the gas line, which might require 1-8 minutes to clear after connecting natural gas. Carbon build-up on the thermocouple, a faulty igniter, an incompletely depressed heater control knob, low gas pressure, or the control knob not being in the ON position can also be causes. Try cleaning or replacing the orifice, cleaning the thermocouple tip, using a match to light the burner (and replacing the igniter), firmly depressing the heater control knob, checking the gas supply, clearing any blockage, and ensuring the control knob is in the ON position.
