  An unpleasant smell from your Braun Electric Shaver head can occur if the shaver head is cleaned with water. When cleaning the shaver head with water only use hot water and from time to time some liquid soap (without abrasive substances). Remove Foil & Cutter cassette to let it dry. Also, if the cleaning cartridge is in use for more than 8 weeks, change the cleaning cartridge at least every 8 weeks.

  If the cleaning cycle doesn't start when you press the start button on your Braun Electric Shaver's Clean & Charge Station, make sure the shaver is correctly placed in the station, pushed to the rear so that the contacts align. If the cleaning cartridge does not contain sufficient cleaning fluid (display blinks red), insert a new cleaning cartridge and press the start button again. Also, ensure that the appliance is not in stand-by mode, and if so, press the start button again.
