Positioning and Clearance Checklist

Platform Angle Adjustment:
The platform angle must be properly
adjusted (see points 12 and 13). Adjust
the platform angle as detailed in Platform
Angle Instructions on pages 26 and 27.
Alignment:
"Side" to "Side" Alignment:
As viewed from outside the vehicle, the
lift vertical arms and platform (when
stowed) should be perpendicular (90°)
to the vehicle floor and parallel
(aligned) with the sides of door jamb
(see points 8 and 9).
"Inboard" to "Outboard" Alignment:
The vertical arms and parallel arms
must be aligned (parallel) to each
other (see point 10). The towers
should be perpendicular (90°) to the
vehicle floor except when base plate
shims are used (see point 11).
