  If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer engine won't start or runs roughly, check the following: 1. Ensure the oil level is correct and fill if low. 2. Clean or replace the air cleaner if it's dirty. 3. Make sure the fuel tank is full with fresh fuel (drain and refill if the fuel is stale or contains water). 4. Verify the spark plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug, and replace the spark plug if it's bad. If the fuel mixture is excessively rich, you should contact a local service facility.

  If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer pump isn't producing pressure, has erratic pressure, chatters, loses pressure, or has low water volume, there are several possible causes. First, ensure you're using the correct high-pressure nozzle. Next, check for and clear any blockages in the water inlet. Make sure the water supply is adequate and that the inlet hose isn't kinked or leaking. Also, inspect the inlet hose screen for clogs and clean it if necessary. The water supply should be cooler than 100°F (38°C). Check the high-pressure hose for blockages or leaks. If the spray gun leaks, it may need replacement. Clean any obstructions from the nozzle. If none of these steps resolve the issue, the pump may be faulty, and you should contact a local service facility.

  If detergent isn't mixing with the spray from your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer, make sure the detergent siphoning tube is submerged in the detergent. Also, check the detergent siphoning tube and filter for clogs or cracks; clean or replace them if necessary. Finally, ensure you are using a low-pressure nozzle instead of a high-pressure nozzle.
