      If the detergent is not mixing with the spray in your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer, check the following: 1. Ensure the detergent siphoning tube is submerged in the detergent. 2. Inspect the chemical filter for clogs or cracks; clean or replace the filter/detergent siphoning tube. 3. Check the in-line filter. 4. Make sure the nozzle is in low pressure mode by pushing it forward.

      If your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer engine runs well at no-load but bogs down when a load is added, it could be due to the engine speed being too slow. Try moving the throttle control to the FAST position. If the engine still bogs down, contact a Briggs and Stratton service facility.

      There are several reasons why your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer pump might not be producing pressure, or is exhibiting erratic pressure, chattering, loss of pressure, or low water volume: * The nozzle might be in low pressure mode - pull it backward for high pressure. * The water inlet could be blocked - clear it. * There might be inadequate water supply - provide adequate water flow. * The inlet hose could be kinked or leaking - straighten it or patch the leak. * The inlet hose strainer might be clogged - check and clean it. * The water supply might be over 100°F - provide a cooler water supply. * The high pressure hose could be blocked or leaking - clear any blockages. * The gun might be leaking - replace it. * The nozzle might be obstructed - clean it.
