Usage Features
Installation:
- Place the product on a level, dry, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm of free space around the product for air circulation.
- Unwind the power cord completely and plug it into an earthed wall socket.
Before First Use:
- Clean the outside of the product with a damp cloth. Wash the baskets and grilles with hot water and washing-up liquid, or in a dishwasher.
- Use the product according to the instructions without food. During this time, the product may smell and smoke a little, which is normal.
- Activate the DEFROST program and run the product for about 10 minutes at the highest temperature.
- Clean the product again.
General Usage:
- Grilles: Place the grilles in the baskets to utilize the circulating air, especially when using the AIR FRY program. The grilles should rest on their silicone feet.
- Food Placement: Place different foods separately in the baskets. For smaller quantities of one type of food, one basket can be used. For dehydrating food, it is recommended to place a layer directly on the bottom of the basket, then place the grille and another layer on the grille.
- Activating the Device: Press the power switch to activate the control panel. The settings mode for cooking zone 1 is activated. If desired, press the button to switch to cooking zone 2.
- Program Selection: Select the desired program and set the temperature and cooking time.
- Single Basket Use: If only one basket is used, proceed with step 12 (start/stop).
- Dual Basket Use: If both baskets contain food, set the temperature and cooking time for cooking zone 2 in one of the following ways:
- Press the DUAL button to copy the settings from cooking zone 1 to cooking zone 2.
- Press the button to activate settings mode for cooking zone 2, select the program, and adjust settings.
- MEAL Function: If the MEAL function is activated, the cooking zone with the longest cooking time will start first. An audio prompt will sound when the remaining cooking time corresponds to the other cooking zone, and the second cooking zone is activated. "HOLD" is shown on the display for the cooking zone that is not activated. The remaining cooking time is shown on the display. When the cooking time has run out, an audio prompt sounds, and "END" is shown on the display.
- Pausing Cooking: The cooking process can be temporarily stopped by pulling out the baskets to stir the food or add more ingredients. The countdown of the cooking time is paused (for both zones if they are synchronized) and resumes when the baskets are pushed back in.
- Stopping Cooking: Activate settings mode for the cooking zones and press the START/STOP button to stop the cooking manually. "END" is shown on the display. Cooking in the other zone continues.
- Food Quantity: Do not overfill the baskets; this can prevent proper air circulation. Do not fill more than 1/3 full.
- Hot Surfaces: Put the hot baskets on a heat-resistant surface after use.
Tips:
- Generally, no fat is needed for cooking, or just small amounts (2 or 3 teaspoons).
- Very light pieces of food can be whirled around by the circulating air. Fasten them together if necessary with toothpicks or similar.
- The cooking time depends on the amount of food, the size of the pieces, and the temperature. Generally, the cooking time is shorter than in a conventional oven. Begin with short cooking times and increase gradually if necessary.
- For uniform cooking, stir the food now and then with a plastic or wooden utensil.
- Check the food regularly and if it is cooked, even if the program has not finished.
Standby Mode:
The control panel is activated when the power switch is pressed. If the product is not in use and no buttons are pressed within 10 minutes, it goes into standby mode.
