MACaddressfilteringisafunctionthatallowsonlyspecificMACaddressconfiguredintheWLANaccesspoint/routertoconnect.IfyouareusingMACaddressfilteringintheWLANaccesspoint/router,you
needtoconfigureyourMACaddressofyourprinter.
Youcanfindyourprinter'sMACAddressbycheckingtheCommunicationsettingsinthePrinterSettingToolorbyprintingthePrinterConfiguration.Clickheretoseethedetailsofhowtofindyourprinter's
networksettings.

IPaddressallocation

AssigningStaticIPaddresses
BeforeyouassigntheIPaddressmanuallyusingStaticmode,pleasereadthefollowing.
TheIPaddresswhichyouwishtoassigntoyourprinter.

MustbechosenfromoutsidetherangeoftheIPaddressthatmightbeassignedasadynamicaddressbyDHCPserver.
Mustbedifferentfromtheonethathasbeenalreadyassignedtoanotherdeviceinyournetwork.
MustbeonthesamenetworkasyourcomputerandtheWLANaccesspoint/router.
IftheIPaddressassignedtoyourcomputeris192.168.1.xx,assignanynumberwhichhasnotassignedtootherdevicestowherexxis(e.g.192.168.1.10).Thefirstthreeseriesofnumbers
(192.168.1asshownintheexample)mustbethesame.
AssigningIPaddressautomatically
IfyourWLANaccesspoint/routerdoesnotsupportaDHCPserverfunction,theIPaddresscannotbeautomaticallyconfigured.Formoreinformation,seethedocumentationsuppliedwithyourWLAN
accesspoint/router.
