General note

When carrying out maintenance and service work, respect all safety regulations.
Ignition “OFF“
m WARNING
Non-compliance can result in serious injuries or death!
This precautionary measure serves to avoid any injuries in case of an unintentional start
of the engine.
Principally ensure the following at each maintenance event
• Lane Select Switch Lane A “OFF”
• Lane Select Switch Lane B “OFF”
• Master Switch “OFF”
• Battery Backup Switch “OFF”
• Disconnect battery and secure engine against unintentional operation
Ignition “ON”
At maintenance work which requires ignition “ON“ and battery connected, take care of the
following:
• Secure the propeller against unintentional turning by hand and
• Secure and observe propeller zone
Handling of oper-
ating fluids
m WARNING
Risk of burns and scalds. Hot engine parts.
Always allow engine to cool down to ambient temperature before starting work.
At maintenance of cooling, lubricating and fuel system take care without fail that no con-
tamination, metal chips, foreign material and/or dirt enters the system.
