(1) Switch off, wait 10 seconds and switch on again to repeat the warm-up procedure.
(2) Function only available if back-up battery (9V) is present.
(3) Replace the back-up battery as soon as possible.
(4) Press the reset button to interrupt the alarm signal and restore the device to operation.
The device is powered by a 12V PLUG socket and can be positioned where needed.
A fixed installation is not necessary, as it is designed to be removable and repositionable.
The backup battery (if installed, not included) allows the device to operate even in the absence of power supply (12V primary),
for short periods and does not guarantee optimal operation of the sensor beyond 2 hours of use without primary power.
WARNINGS:
Combustible gases (LPG)
Firstly, it should be remembered that most people can detect combustible gases even at concentrations below the alarm level set by the detector.
It therefore follows that this situation in no way implies that the device is faulty and does not necessarily indicate a dangerous situation.
For the reasons mentioned above and not knowing in advance what type of gas may have generated a dangerous situation, if
the detector goes into alarm, proceed as follows:
• extinguish all naked flames, including smoking articles
• switch off all gas appliances
• do not operate electrical switches, as these may cause sparks
• do not use mobile phones or electronic equipment of any kind in rooms where there is a suspected presence of gas
• immediately open doors and windows and ventilate the room
• in case of nausea or vomiting contact the nearest medical unit
• in the event of an LPG leak, close the cylinder or storage tank, open windows and doors, and ventilate the room
If the cause of the alarm is detected and eliminated with certainty, the detector can be reset and the gas supply reactivated
using the reset button.
To restore operation after the alarm signal, proceed as follows:
If, after the alarm has occurred and the device has been reset, an alarm condition reappears, this indicates that the percentage
of gas detected by the sensor is still above the safety threshold, so evacuate and ventilate the premises for your own safety.
The life cycle of the sensitive element is approximately 5 years, it is advisable to operate the 3-SICUR detector only when
the vehicle is stationary. If the detector is left switched on unnecessarily (e.g. while the vehicle is moving), this could lead to
premature exhaustion of the sensor.
