1 Leave your Hub on and connected to the internet.
Then unplug the Aerial (A) cable from your existing set-top
box, leaving the other end in your aerial wall socket.
2 Now unplug all other cables and put them and your now old
set-top box aside.
3 Take your new set-top box and plug in the Aerial (A) and
your new Ethernet (E), Power (P) and HDMI (H) cables
as shown.
Use your new cables
This helps make sure you’ll be able to get all your channels.
No HDMI socket on your TV?
You need HDMI to watch in high denition (HD). If your TV
doesn’t have an HDMI socket, use a SCART cable (not supplied)
to watch in standard denition instead.
1 Press on the top of the box to turn it on (the box’s power
light will turn blue). It’ll take a moment to start up. Now start
using your new remote control.
To control your TV using your new remote, follow the steps at
bt.com/help/remote
2 When you see a welcome message on your TV, follow
its steps.
3 When you’ve followed the steps, press on your new
remote. This will download your subscriptions.
Missing any channels?
Go to Settings then TV Signal and Quality then Re-tune
Channels.
Switch on
You can now reschedule your recordings so you don’t miss
your favourite shows.
1 Press to open the YouView Guide.
2 Find and select what you want to record.
3 To record just one episode, press on your remote once.
You’ll see a red dot next to the programme.
4 To record a series, press on your remote twice.
You’ll see two red dots next to the programme.
No lights on the front of
your box?
Check that the Power
switch on the back of your
YouView
+
box is on.

You might have come to the end of the road with your old
set-top box from BT, but there’s a bit of life left in it yet.
