Transmitting with Privacy Codes (TXCODE) - MENU 02
You can configure different transmission privacy codes for each channel. The selected privacy code may
be different for each channel.
Note: Selecting a privacy code of "OFF" will disable the privacy feature. To communicate between two
FRS-A1 radios, all radios in your group must be set to the same channel and privacy code selections.
The steps for creating your transmission privacy code settings are as follows:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the main menu and press the cd key to enter the MENU 02.
2. Press the [MENU] key again to enter the TXCODE menu.
3. Press the cd key to select the privacy code, and choose a selection range of OFF or 67.0~754N.
Note: The default state of the privacy code is off, and the display is OFF. When the display is OFF, press
the ckey to select CTCSS with priority, range 67~254.1Hz (50 groups in total); when the display is OFF,
press the d key to select DCS with priority, range D023N-D754I (104 groups in total).
During the selection process, press and hold the cdkey quickly to search for the sub-tone code.
4. Press the [MENU] key to confirm your selections.
5. Press the [WX] key to cancel your selections.
6. Press the [PTT]
key to exit the menu mode.
