Busy Channel Lockout (BCL) - MENU 12
When this function is active, if you select a busy channel and press the PTT, the transceiver will not
transmit.
To set the BCL:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the main menu, press the cd key to enter the MENU 12.
2. Press the [MENU] key again to enter the BCLO menu.
3. Press the cd key to select the switch and select the range ON/OFF.
4. Press the [MENU] key to confirm your selections.
5. Press the [W
WX
] key to cancel your selections.
6. Press the [PTT]
key to exit the menu mode.
Call Tone Select (RING)- MENU 13
This setting will allow you to transmit a unique call tone alert to identify your radio when you transmit
messages. You can select from one of ten different call tone signals. To set a call tone:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the main menu, press the cd key to enter the MENU 13.
2. Press the [MENU] key again to enter the RING menu.
3. Press the cd key to select a different call tone. An example of each call tone will sound for 1.5
seconds.
