ABOUT THE CONTROLS
Press CONTROL to set the DAISY navigation mode as Phrase, Heading (specific level) or
Page. Press NAVIGATION UP and DOWN to select previous or next item as per the mode
selected. The same mode stays enabled until Buddy is restarted.
DAISY navigation modes are:
• Phrase
• Heading (Level 1 to 6)
• Page
• Bookmark
• Time-skip
Long press SCROLL MODE to set the bookmark or time-skip modes of DAISY book
navigation.
Notes:
Press SCROLL MODE to set the NAVIGATION UP and DOWN step size as one, ten, or hundred pages if DAISY
navigation mode set as page. You cannot set the NAVIGATION UP and DOWN step size other than one if
navigation mode not set as page.
NAVIGATION down step size is fixed to be 5 minutes if DAISY navigation mode set as time-skip. NAVIGATION
UP key is not applicable for time-skip function.
Press RECORDING to save a bookmark for the current position of the book. Select from the saved bookmarks
with NAVIGATION UP and DOWN if DAISY navigation mode set as bookmark.
Press PLAY to pause or resume a book.
3.3 SETUP OPTIONS
PROMPT VOLUME – 4 (prompt volume cannot be muted) to 10
PLAYBACK VOLUME – 0 (muted) to 10
PLAYBACK TEMPO RATE – (1/4 to 1X4) referred to as (–4 to 4)
