INTERACTIVE EXHAUST ACTUATOR HARNESS 7.25
REMOVAL
1. Remove seat. See 2.45 SEAT.
2. Remove four fasteners, nylon washers and intake cover
assembly. See 2.39 INTAKE COVER.
3. See Figure 7-90. Remove negative battery cable (4) from
battery. See 7.11 BATTERY.
4. Remove the cooling fan. See 4.38 COOLING FAN.
5. Remove the fuel block from the battery tray to access the
actuator ground actuator harness connector [165].
6. Remove the exhaust actuator ground (5).
7. See Figure 7-90. Separate exhaust actuator harness
connector [165] (2) at main harness.
8. Pull actuator harness through frame.
9. Disconnect connector [161B] from actuator.
10. If removing actuator:
d. Add free play to interactive exhaust cable (4), loosen
jam nut and remove cable from bracket. See 7.6
INTERACTIVE EXHAUST SYSTEM.
e. Remove interactive exhaust cable from cable wheel.
f. Remove actuator.
