What to do if my Bunker Hill Security Flood Light won’t turn on?

  If your Bunker Hill Security Flood Light won’t turn on, first check that the Power Switch is set to ON or AUTO. Ensure the cable is firmly plugged in at the back of the Battery Housing. Also, verify that the LUX control is not set too close to the moon symbol; turn the LUX knob towards the sun symbol. Adjust the angle and direction of the Motion Detector Head. Finally, the battery pack might not be fully charged. Keep the solar panel clean and allow it to charge in full sunlight for 3 days with the Power Switch OFF.

  Your Bunker Hill Security Flood Light might stay on because the duration time setting is too long. Try turning the TIME knob counterclockwise to reduce the time the light stays on. It could also be due to frequent changes in heat being detected. Check the sensing area for heat sources like air vents, vehicles, or objects in the wind. Reposition the Motion Detector Head or turn the SENS Knob counterclockwise to lower sensitivity. Lastly, ensure the Power Switch is set to AUTO, not ON.

Check the sensing area for possible heat sources such as air vents, vehicles, or objects in wind. Reposition the Motion Detector Head. This issue can also arise from sudden temperature changes due to storms or high winds. In such cases, turn the Power Switch “OFF” until the storm passes and consider mounting the light in a more sheltered location.
