Why is my Bunn Coffee Maker making weak coffee?

  If your Bunn Coffee Maker is producing a weak beverage, several factors could be responsible. Ensure a clean spray-head is used for proper extraction. Check the water temperature, it must not be less than 195°F(91°C). Adjust the temperature setting to increase the water temperature. Use BUNN® paper filters for proper extraction. The coffee grind should be fine. Ensure the BUNN® paper filter is centered in the funnel and the bed of grounds leveled by shaking gently.

Why water does not heat to proper temperature in Bunn Coffee Maker?

  If your Bunn Coffee Maker's water does not heat to the proper temperature, the display might be flashing, indicating a malfunction. Also, ensure the water is touching the temperature probe. Remove the probe and grommet and check that the water is within one inch from the top of the tank. Check the Dry Plug In Probe Sensing System: disconnect the brewer from the power source, disconnect the J3 connector from the control board, and check for continuity.

Ensure the water level is within one inch from the top of the tank by removing the probe and grommet and looking into the hole on the tank lid. If you have a CDBC model, disconnect the brewer from the power source, disconnect the J3 connector from the control board, and check for continuity from the tank mounting screw to pin 2 of the plug, and from the temperature probe to pin 4 of the plug. If you have a CEZ model, disconnect the J5 connector from the control board and check for continuity from the tank mounting screw to pin 5 of the plug, and from the temperature probe to pin 2 of the plug.
