Why is my Bunn Coffee Maker making weak coffee?
    • N
      Nicholas GarciaAug 20, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker is producing a weak beverage, several factors could be responsible. Ensure a clean spray-head is used for proper extraction. Check the water temperature, it must not be less than 195°F(91°C). Adjust the temperature setting to increase the water temperature. Use BUNN® paper filters for proper extraction. The coffee grind should be fine. Ensure the BUNN® paper filter is centered in the funnel and the bed of grounds leveled by shaking gently.

Why water does not heat to proper temperature in Bunn Coffee Maker?
    • L
      Laurie DelgadoAug 22, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker's water does not heat to the proper temperature, the display might be flashing, indicating a malfunction. Also, ensure the water is touching the temperature probe. Remove the probe and grommet and check that the water is within one inch from the top of the tank. Check the Dry Plug In Probe Sensing System: disconnect the brewer from the power source, disconnect the J3 connector from the control board, and check for continuity.

Why won't the brew cycle start on my Bunn CDBC?
    • J
      Jade SinghAug 25, 2025
If the brew cycle on your Bunn Coffee Maker won't start, first check if the display or ready light is flashing, indicating a malfunction. Ensure the water lines and valves to the brewer are open. Verify that there is power and correct voltage to the brewer by checking the black and white terminals at the terminal block. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position and the indicator lamp is lit. Finally, ensure the water temperature is sufficient; allow the brewer to heat until the ready lamp is lit, or disable the brew lockout feature.

Why is my Bunn CDBC Coffee Maker water not heating properly?
    • T
      Teresa CarterAug 26, 2025
If the water in your Bunn Coffee Maker isn't heating to the proper temperature, check if the display or ready light is flashing, which indicates a malfunction. Ensure the water level is within one inch from the top of the tank by removing the probe and grommet and looking into the hole on the tank lid. If you have a CDBC model, disconnect the brewer from the power source, disconnect the J3 connector from the control board, and check for continuity from the tank mounting screw to pin 2 of the plug, and from the temperature probe to pin 4 of the plug. If you have a CEZ model, disconnect the J5 connector from the control board and check for continuity from the tank mounting screw to pin 5 of the plug, and from the temperature probe to pin 2 of the plug.

How to fix consistently low or overflowing beverage levels in my Bunn CDBC Coffee Maker?
    • D
      Denise HunterAug 28, 2025
If you're experiencing consistently low beverage levels or overflows with your Bunn Coffee Maker, set up the brewer according to the instructions in section Adjustments_Brew Volumes. Also, remove the dispense valve and clear any obstructions. If necessary, rebuild or replace the valve.

Why won't my Bunn Coffee Maker fill or refill?
    • C
      Crystal SmithAug 29, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker will not fill or refill, first, ensure the warmer switches on the control panel are on, indicating power is available. Check that the water supply is turned on. If the display is flashing, the brewer has shut down due to a malfunction; refer to the diagnostic chart. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position and the indicator is lit. Inspect the probe for lime buildup, clean if necessary, and reinstall. If these steps don't resolve the issue, further troubleshooting may be needed, such as checking the refill valve or control board by testing the solenoid coil. Also, consider if the water is too conductive, and reset the Water Sensing Threshold Adjustment Procedures if needed.

What to do if my Bunn Coffee Maker has low beverage level?
    • M
      Matthew CrawfordAug 31, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker consistently has a low beverage level or overflows, the issue may stem from the control board, dispense valve, brew volume settings, or lime buildup. If the switch panel operates correctly, check for voltage at the dispense solenoid terminals when brewing. If there's no voltage, inspect the wiring. If voltage is present, check the solenoid coil for continuity; replace if necessary. Ensure the brew volume is correctly set. Inspect and delime the dispense valve and spray head if there's excessive lime. Remove the dispense valve to clear any obstructions, and rebuild or replace the valve if needed.

Why brew cycle will not start on my Bunn CDBC?
    • J
      James PaceSep 2, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker's brew cycle won't start, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if the display is flashing, indicating a malfunction. Ensure the water lines and valves to the brewer are open and that there is power or correct voltage to the brewer. The ON/OFF switch must be in the "ON" position with the indicator lamp lit. Also, the water temperature might be too low, engaging the brew lockout feature; allow the brewer to heat up or disable the brew lockout feature.

How to stop dripping from spray head of Bunn Coffee Maker?
    • T
      Teresa MercadoSep 4, 2025
If your Bunn Coffee Maker is dripping from the spray head, it's often due to lime buildup or issues with the dispense valve. Inspect the tank assembly for excessive lime deposits and delime as required. Additionally, remove the dispense valve and clear any obstructions. If necessary, rebuild or replace the valve.

What to do if Bunn CDBC fill or refill does not shut off?
    • C
      Cindy GordonSep 6, 2025
If the fill or refill process on your Bunn Coffee Maker doesn't shut off when the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position, it could be due to a few reasons. Lime buildup on the probe can cause this issue; remove the probe, check for lime deposits, clean, and reinstall it. The water level probe sensing system might also be faulty; disconnect the brewer from the power source, disconnect the J3 connector from the control board, and check for continuity. If water continuously flows out of the air vent tube, disconnect the brewer from the power source. If the water flow stops, replace the control board. If the water flow does not stop, repair or replace the refill solenoid. Also, consider if the water is too conductive, and reset the Water Sensing Threshold Adjustment Procedures if needed.
