WARNING: If the foot end or head end of the bed is allowed to drop while being lowered, injury to persons
and/or damage to the bed could occur (see figure 12).
8. Release the black woven safety strap located at the head end of the
bed and remove the Tool (see figure 14).
9. Pin the turnbuckle in place at the connection points below the head
and foot sections of the bed. (DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME) Using the
Tool provided place one end through the center of the turnbuckle.
Look for the dots on the end of the screws and reference them to the
marks on the turnbuckle body. (see figure 13). As you adjust the
turnbuckle body the dots on the screws will move toward each other
when tightening and away from each other when loosening. Observe
the correct
movement
inward as you install this piece. Observe the
correct movement outward when removing this
piece.
WARNING: Install and completely tighten one
turnbuckle and then install and tighten the other
side. Failure to properly install the turnbuckles
could result in injury to persons and/or damage
to the bed.
10. Store the Tool in Velcro holder with black safety
strap as in figure 14).
11. CAUTION: Position and lock the four casters
(located at the corners off the bed) with locking
tabs facing the
foot end of bed. Failure to do so will result in damage to the
casters during hi-low use.
12. Plug bed power supply into an AC outlet.
13. Raise bed hi-low approx. 5 inches to take weight off of the center
transport wheels.
14. Remove the pull pin securing the central transport system. Pivot
the axle inward and up. Align the holes to where the casters are
tucked up under the bed and replace the pull pin.
15. Raise the head gatch and store the central transport pole in it’s holder under the head gatch (see
figure 15)
16. Lower the Hi-low system.
