situ.Airbag is equivalent to providing
an air cushion, which assists to
stabilize and protect your head and
chest.
Possibility for occurrence of this
situation depends on whether the
extent of impact reaches marginal
value or critical value for expansion of
airbag. Now, seat belt provides major
protection, and auxiliary protection
provided by airbag is relatively little.
Frontal airbags will deflate
immediately after inflation. Thus, it
won‘t affect driver‘s sight and control
over steering wheel or other control
devices.
Deployment of airbags can be
completed at a high speed within
fractions of a second, thereby
providing extra protection for driver
and passengers in case of accidents.
Deployment of airbags will give out
huge sounds, which usually won‘t
cause injuries (but it cannot exclude
the possibility of tinnitus or temporary
loss of hearing, which will recover
soon).
After crash, smoke-like particles may
be seen, which are, in fact, the
powders from airbag surface.
Although this kind of powder is
nontoxic, but passengers with
respiratory diseases may still feel
certain kind of temporary discomfort.
If this happens and traffic allows,
leave the vehicle as soon as possible.
Maintenance of frontal airbags
If the following situations happen,
immediately contact services station
authorized by BYD.
● All airbag modules of airbag system
have inflated.
● If accident happens in front of
vehicle (shaded area shown as figure),
SRS airbag won‘t deploy.
