Module C1 connection
(optional)
Connect the 4-pole plug of the RS 485 data transmission cable to the Module B
connection (fig. 3 pos 6) and to the connection of Module C1 (see also
operation instructions Module C1). A main switch is integrated onto Module
C1. Should there be a separate main switch already connected, this will be
functionless through the connection of a Module C1.
Connecting the main switch
When using Module B without extension through a Module C1, the plug for the
separate main switch on the 2-pole connection of the Module B (fig. 3 pos. 7).
Changeover switch battery type
Set the changeover switch for the battery type (fig. 3 pos.8) to the setting “Gel”
(rear position) if your supply battery is a gel battery. Set the changeover switch
for the battery type to the setting “liquid” (front position) if your supply battery
is a liquid electrolyte battery.
Stress relief
Fasten the supply battery, the solar panels and the starter battery cables using
both stress relief terminals (fig. 3 pos. 10 and 11) and the cables for the
temperature sensor, Module C or main switch with cable band (fig. 3 pos. 9).
Concluding tasks
Check that all the cables are firm and secure. Put on the terminal area cover.
Connect the mains to the MES Module A as the final step.
