Site Preparation
Before you install any GigaSpire, you need to consider the routing of the power adapter cord
and Ethernet cable (if used). Note: It is critical that you maintain the proper airflow in and
around the unit. GigaSpire devices are designed for surface mounting only. Do not install
cabinetry or other building material around the outside of the unit.
Power Cords
In order to complete the installation, a power cord in one of two configurations is required:
 GigaSpire Connectorized Power and Signal Cable - A 2-pin barrel connector to the local
AC power receptacle (Type A).
 GigaSpire 8-pin connectorized power and signal cable - for use with the optional
Universal Power Supply (UPS).
