This document is a user manual for a Candy washing machine, providing comprehensive information on its installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The Candy washing machine is designed for domestic use, offering a range of programs to clean various types of fabrics and levels of dirt. It automatically adjusts water levels based on the load, contributing to energy savings. The machine features options for pre-wash, extra rinse, hygiene, and easy iron, catering to different washing needs. It also includes safety features such as a door lock mechanism and an unbalanced load detection system to prevent damage and reduce noise during the spin cycle.
Important Technical Specifications
- Water Pressure: Minimum 0.05 MPa / Maximum 0.8 MPa (0.05 MPa dispenses approximately 1 liter of water in 10 seconds).
- Spin RPM: Refer to the rating plate for specific spin speeds.
- Power Input / Current Fuse Amp / Supply Voltage: Refer to the rating plate for electrical specifications.
- Load Capacity: Maximum load capacity of dry clothes varies by model (refer to the control panel).
- Adjustable Feet: The 4 adjustable feet allow the height to be adjusted from 820 mm to a maximum of 840 mm.
- Drain Hose Height: The corrugated drain hose should be inserted into a suitable drain pipe between 50 cm and 85 cm above the floor.
- Water Temperature: Programs offer various temperature settings, with a maximum allowed temperature to protect fabrics. Cold wash is possible when all temperature indicators are off.
Usage Features
- Program Selection: Turn on the machine and select the desired program using the program selector.
- Temperature Adjustment: Adjust the washing temperature using the TEMPERATURE SELECTION button.
- Option Buttons: Select additional options like EXTRA RINSE, HYGIENE +, or EASY IRON using the OPTIONS button.
- Rapid / Stain Level Button: Choose between three rapid program durations (14', 30', 44') or adjust the wash intensity (3 levels) for stain removal, depending on the selected program.
- Spin Speed Button: Reduce the maximum spin speed or cancel the spin cycle.
- Delay Start: Pre-program the wash cycle to delay its start for up to 24 hours in 1-hour increments.
- START/PAUSE Button: Press to start, pause, or resume a program.
- Door Lock: A safety device prevents the door from being opened immediately after the cycle ends. Wait 2 minutes after the "Door Security" light goes out.
- Kg Detector: (Active on Cotton and Synthetics programs) An intelligent sensor weighs the laundry during the first minutes of the cycle, adjusting cycle time, water, and electricity consumption. It also monitors wash load, determines water requirements, length of cycle, rinsing, drum rotation rhythm, and detects excessive foam.
- Key Lock: Pressing TEMPERATURE SELECTION and SPIN SPEED buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds locks the keys to prevent accidental changes during a cycle.
Maintenance Features
- Exterior Cleaning: Disconnect from power, clean the cabinet with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, or diluents.
- Detergent Drawer Cleaning: Regularly clean the detergent drawer to prevent residue accumulation. Remove the drawer, clean it under running water, and reinsert. For models with automatic liquid detergent/softener dosing, ensure compartments are empty before cleaning.
- Pump Filter Cleaning: Check and clean the filter 5-6 times a year. Disconnect power, ensure the drum is empty of water, place an absorbent cloth under the filter, unscrew counter-clockwise, clean, and replace.
- Prolonged Disuse/Moves: If the appliance is kept in a non-heated room, remove all water residues from pipes. Disconnect power, detach the drain tube, and fully drain water into a bowl. Keep the door glass and gasket clean. For models with automatic dosing, remove the detergent drawer before tilting or moving the machine to avoid leakage.
