Carrying the Machine by the Sides
Remove the output tray and close the multi-purpose tray.
Grip the handles on the sides of the machine and lift up the machine, as shown in the illustration above.
When carrying this machine, be sure to hold it in the designated places as shown in the
illustration. Do not lift the machine by any of its attachments. Dropping the machine can cause
personal injury.
If you have a back problem, make sure to check the weight of this machine
(approx. 52.9 lb. (24.0 kg)) before carrying.
Transporting the Machine by Car
Pack the machine, using the original packing material and box.
Place the machine on a level, stable surface.
Do not leave the machine inside a car for a long period of time; the temperature can become very high
or low.
Avoid rough roads; excessive vibration may damage the machine or adversely affect the quality of your
copy images.
Place a cover over the machine. Do not leave the machine in direct sunlight.
When moving the machine, use the original shipping box that it was packed in when you purchased it.
When using the original shipping box, do not place the power cord or other objects on the ADF; this
may damage the ADF.
