To make sure you have access to the latest functionality, please check
that you are using the latest printer firmware version. Your printer's
firmware can be updated if your printer is connected to the internet. If
your printer is not connected to the internet, connect your printer to
your PC via a USB cable to perform the update. For details, refer to the
Canon homepage.

Cautions when scanning documents (TC-20M)
Be sure to observe the following when loading the original on the platen. Failure to
observe the following may cause the scanner to malfunction or the platen glass to break.
- Do not place any objects weighing 2.0 kg or more on the platen glass.
- Do not put any pressure of 2.0 kg or more on the platen glass, such as pressing down
the original.
