1 Clean the platen glass and the underside of the platen cover with a cloth dampened with water,
and then wipe them clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not dampen the cloth too much, as this may damage the original or break the machine.
Manual Feeder Cleaning
If originals that have been fed through the feeder have streaks or appear dirty, clean the feeder's scanning area and the
rollers.
Do not dampen the cloth too much, as this may damage the original or break the machine.
If the document feed scanning area is dirty, documents may not be scanned clearly, and the size of the document may not be detected
correctly.
Duplex Color Image Reader Unit-B1
This procedure is necessary only if the Feeder (Duplex Color Image Reader Unit-B1) is attached.
1 Open the feeder.
