What to do if Canon Printer driver installation does not start automatically?
- JJames WoodsJul 29, 2025
If the installation of the Canon Printer driver does not start automatically when the Setup CD-ROM is inserted, try the following: Click Start, then My Computer, and double-click the CD-ROM icon. If you're not using Windows XP, double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop and then double-click the CD-ROM icon. Alternatively, you can use the Run command, specifying your disc drive and the setup program name, Msetup4.exe. If the CD-ROM icon isn't displayed, restart your computer. If it's still not displayed after restarting, test other disks to see if they are recognized. If other disks work, the Setup CD-ROM may be defective, and you should contact a Canon service representative.
