  If your Canon Camcorder will not focus, try the following: 1. Focus manually if autofocus does not work on that subject. 2. Adjust the viewfinder with the dioptric adjustment lever. 3. Clean the lens with a soft lens-cleaning cloth. Never use tissue paper to clean the lens. 4. If you are using the optional Wide-converter or Tele-converter, set [AF MODE] to [NORMAL AF].

Why Canon Vixia HV40 Camcorder battery pack will not charge?

  If your Canon Camcorder battery pack will not charge and the CHARGE indicator flashes very slowly (about once every 2 seconds), charge the battery pack in temperatures between 0 °C and 40 °C (32 °F and 104 °F). Battery packs become hot with use and may not charge. When the battery pack is outside the charging temperature range, the CHARGE indicator will flash irregularly. The charging will start once the battery pack temperature is below 40 °C (104 °F). Also, the battery pack may be damaged, so use a different battery pack.
