This document describes a remote fingerprint lock that integrates with the Tuya App, offering a comprehensive smart lock solution. The lock supports multiple unlocking methods and provides extensive management features through both the physical keypad and the mobile application.
Function Description
The Remote Fingerprint Lock is designed for secure access control, allowing users to unlock doors using fingerprints, passwords, or RFID cards. It offers a "Tuya App User Manual" for detailed operation. The lock features a management mode accessible via the keypad, enabling administrators to configure user settings, security parameters, time, voice prompts, network settings, and view records.
Keypad Management Mode:
To enter management mode, touch the keypad, then press 0+#. The system will prompt for authorization, requiring the administrator's fingerprint, password, or card. The default management password is "0123456789". The lock initially operates in an "experience mode" where any fingerprint, password, or card can open it, emphasizing the need to add administrator information promptly.
Main Menu Options:
- User Manage: Add, modify, or delete users (administrators, hosts, kids, guests, babysitters, hourly workers, temporary users). User 001 is the default administrator and cannot be deleted.
- Authority: Configure unlocking authority (One key, Two key, Two user). "One key" requires a single fingerprint, password, or card. "Two key" requires two people's fingerprints, passwords, or cards. "Two user" requires two different users.
- Security: Set unlock modes (One key, Two key, Two user). Administrators are not restricted by these modes.
- Time set: Synchronize the lock's time with a mobile phone, crucial for dynamic password generation.
- Voice set: Adjust touch tone, beep, and volume settings (Low, Medium, High).
- Network settings: Configure remote password, remote unlock, and unlock notification settings. Allows resetting the network to connect to the Tuya App.
- Record: View the last 200 door opening records, including user ID, fingerprint ID, date, and time.
- Sys initialize: Reset the lock to factory settings, clearing all user data.
- About: Provides information about the lock.
Tuya App Integration:
The lock offers full link communication encryption between the app, server, and Wi-Fi module, ensuring secure data transmission.
App Features:
- Opening record: Query door opening records for the past 12 months, including unlock mode, code, and time. Supports fingerprint + password combinations.
- Offline door opening record: Records made offline are uploaded to the cloud upon re-networking.
- Notification: Receive alerts for low battery, password errors, fingerprint errors, and room card errors.
- Time synchronization: Ensures the lock's time is consistent with the server, supporting global time zones and daylight saving.
- User Management: Add users via the app, associating them with unlock IDs.
- Opening event linkage: Configure automation based on opening events.
- Battery status display: Shows current battery level.
- Other event linkage: Customize linkages based on different unlock IDs or types.
- App remotely open the door: Receive notifications and confirm or cancel remote door opening requests.
- Dynamic password: Generate temporary passwords valid for a specified duration (e.g., 1 hour).
- Temporary password management: Create, delete, and copy up to 10 sets of temporary passwords. Supports sharing via WeChat, SMS, and international mobile numbers.
- OTA: Over-the-air updates for the module and MCU.
- Doorbell call: Receive app notifications when the doorbell is pressed.
Usage Features
Adding Administrator:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with management fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "User Manage" -> "User001 (Admin)" -> "Key management" -> "Add".
- Enter fingerprint/password/card. All entries under User001 are administrators.
Modifying/Deleting User:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with administrator fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "User Manage" -> "User" -> "Key Management".
- Select "change key" or "delete key" and confirm.
Note: User 001 (administrator) cannot be deleted.
Adding User:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with administrator fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "User Management" -> "Add User".
- Enter new fingerprint/password/card.
Note: Passwords must be at least 6 digits and not consecutive (e.g., 123456).
Time Setting:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with administrator fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "Time Setting" and use
2, 4, 6, 8 to set the time.
Important: Keep the lock's time synchronized with your mobile phone for dynamic passwords.
Unlock Mode Setting:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with administrator fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "Security".
- Select "One key", "Two key", or "Two user".
Authority Setting:
- Touch keypad, press
0+#, authorize with administrator fingerprint/password/card.
- Navigate to "Authority".
- Configure access for Kid, Guest, Baby sister, Hourly worker, Temporary users, including specified time periods.
Language Settings:
- Remove all batteries, wait 5 seconds, then reinstall.
- Language selection (Chinese/English) will appear on the LED screen.
- Press
1 for Chinese, 2 for English.
Emergency Power Supply:
If the battery is depleted, connect a Micro-USB 5V power bank to the emergency power interface under the outer panel to unlock the door.
Mobile Phone Distribution Network Operation:
- Open the Tuya App and click "Add Device".
- Select "Security Sensor" -> "Door Lock (Wi-Fi)".
- Confirm the button on the lock.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password in the app.
- The app will show "Waiting for network configuration", then "Add device successfully". If unsuccessful, reselect compatibility mode.
- Enter the APP operation interface.
APP Mobile Phone Function Introduction:
- Homepage: Includes remote opening, message, member management, door opening record, temporary password, and other functions.
- Remote Unlock: Press the doorbell on the lock, and the app will display "Click open remotely". Choose "Cancel" or "Confirm".
- Dynamic Password: Click "Get" to generate a dynamic password, which can be quickly copied.
- Notice Center: Displays alarm notices, dialing notices, and wrong unlock information.
- Member Management: Add and delete members. Only administrators have full authority.
- Unlock Recorded: All unlock records are inverted. Connected users show their connected name; unconnected users show their real name.
- Temporary Code: Add and delete temporary codes via the app. Each operation must be performed on the lock simultaneously. Option to send codes via mobile text (supports domestic and international).
- Restore Factory Setting: In the app, navigate to the main interface menu, find "Restore factory setting" and click. This can also be done via hardware.
Maintenance Features
Resetting the Lock:
If the password is forgotten, remove the back panel battery cover.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Press and hold the reset button. A voice prompt "Initialization finished" confirms the reset.
Note: All previously set fingerprints, passwords, and cards will be cleared after a reset.
Low Battery Warning:
When battery power is below 4.6V, the system will voice prompt "low power, please replace the battery" after each successful unlock. Replace batteries promptly.
Note: Do not mix old and new batteries or different models.
Important Technical Specifications
- Record Storage: The lock stores up to 200 door opening records, automatically overwriting older records when full.
- Password Length: Passwords must be at least 6 digits.
- Battery Voltage: Low battery warning at 4.6V.
- Emergency Power: Micro-USB 5V.
- FCC Compliance: The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts received interference. It has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits.
- Radiation Exposure: The equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits and should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and the user's body.
