The Carrera No. 624 Hair/Beard Clipper is a versatile grooming tool designed for trimming facial and head hair, suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial use. It is engineered in Germany with a focus on user-friendliness, handling, aesthetics, and performance.
The hair clipper features a cutting unit and a precision trimmer, allowing for various hair lengths and precise styling. It comes with two main attachments: a precision attachment for beards and short hair, and a comb attachment for longer hair. The precision attachment allows for length adjustments from 1 to 11 mm in 1 mm increments, while the comb attachment offers lengths from 12 to 33 mm in 3 mm increments. An ON/OFF button controls the device, and a transport lock feature prevents accidental activation. The device operates cordless, powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery.
Before first use, the appliance should be charged for 90 minutes. The display shows the battery level in percent (01-100%), along with battery and plug symbols. A red flashing plug symbol indicates a nearly drained battery. For optimal battery life, regular use and full discharge before recharging are recommended.
To use, ensure the appliance is charged and an appropriate attachment is installed. The ON/OFF button activates the clipper. A transport lock can be engaged or disengaged by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for approximately 3 seconds. The lock symbol will flash briefly before going out.
For beard trimming, install the precision attachment and set the desired length using the adjustment wheel. Trim the beard with smooth movements, moving from the ears to the chin, and the mustache from the nose to the corners of the lips. For the neck, either remove the attachment or set it to a short length for a clean line.
For hair trimming, choose between the precision or comb attachment based on desired hair length. Start with a longer setting and adjust as needed. Begin cutting from the bottom of the back of the head, moving towards the temples against hair growth. Avoid cutting too fast or making jerky movements, allowing the attachment to lightly touch the head. Clean the attachment from cut hair as you work. For contouring the neck and sideburns, remove the attachment and gently move the clipper against hair growth.
For edging, the cutting block or precision trimmer (by pressing button 3) can be used.
Regular cleaning is crucial for extending the appliance's lifespan. A built-in timer reminds users to clean the appliance after 30 minutes of trimming by flashing the cleaning symbol on the display. If the appliance is switched off while the cleaning symbol is flashing, the timer resets.
