DIAGNOSIS AND SOLUTION (CONT.)
E3/F5 (Fan Speed Is Operating Outside of Normal Range Diagnosis and Solution)
Description: When the indoor / outdoor fan speed remains too slow or too fast for a certain amount of time, the unit ceases
operating and the LED displays the failure.
Recommended parts to prepare:
• Connection wires
• Fan assembly
• Fan motor
•PCB
Troubleshooting
NOTE: For certain models, the outdoor PCB cannot be removed separately. In this case, the outdoor electric control box should be replaced
as a whole.
YES
Power o then restart the unit 2 minutes later.
Is it within normal parameters?
Replace the fan motor.
Does a problem
persist?
The unit is operating as designed.
NO
Shut o the power supply
then rotate the fan by hand.
YES
Does it turn easily?
Find the cause of the problem and resolve it.
NO
Check the fan motor wiring.
YES
Is it improperly wired?
Ensure proper connections.
Measure the fan motor voltage
from the PCB.
YES
Replace the main PCB.
NO
Replace the DC fan IPM board (if any).
