DIAGNOSIS AND SOLUTION (CONT.)
J2 (High discharge temperature protection)
Description: When the compressor discharge temperature (TP) is more than 115°C for 10 seconds, the compressor stops and
does not restart until TP is less than 194°F(90°C).
Recommended parts to prepare:
• Refrigerant
• Wiring
• Discharge temperature sensor
• Outdoor PCB
Troubleshooting
Temperature protection of
the compressor discharge
Is the
compressor discharge
temperature higher
than 239°F (115°C)?
YES
Is refrigerant
leaking?
YES
Stop the leak and add
refrigerant.
Check the connection between the
compressor discharge temperature sensor
and PCB according to the wiring diagrams.
NO
NO
Correct the wiring
connection.
Are they connected
properly?
Measure the resistance value of
the compressor discharge temperature
sensor according to Appendix 2.
YES
Is it normal?
Replace the compressor discharge
temperature sensor.
NO
Replace outdoor main PCB.
YES
Does a problem still exist ?
Replace the
high pressure valve assembly.
