incaseun-bridgingisrequired.
18.Donotattempttoclean,lubricateorcarryoutanyadjustmentsonthemachinewhileitisinmotionorwhilethe
engineisrunning.
19.Neverleavetheoperator'splatformwithoutrstdisengagingthemachinedrivemechanism,loweringtheheader,
stoppingtheengine,applyingtheparkbrakeandremovingtheignitionkey.
20.Donotworkunderthemachineheaderunlessitissecurelyblockedand/ortheheadersafetylatchisengaged.
21.Donotworkaroundthemachineinlooseclothingthatmightcatchinanyofthemovingparts.
22.Keephandsawayfrommovingpartsofthemachine.
23.Keepthereextinguisherwithineasyreachoftheoperator.Ensuretoreplaceitbyasimilartypeofextinguisher
orhaveitcheckedorrelledaftereveryusageand/ordateofexpiry.
24.Donotsteponthegraintankextensions,covers,orthecabroof.
25.Machinedustcancause"farmer'slung"disease.Itmayalsocontainharmfulsprayingresidues.Keepthecab
doorandwindowclosedduringoperation.Wearadustmaskwhencleaningtheaccumulateddustanddebris
onthemachine.
Hydraulicsystemsafety

Hydraulicoilleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskinandcauseinfectionorotherinjury.Topreventpersonal
injury:
•
Relieveallpressurebeforedisconnectinguidlines.
•
Beforeapplyingpressure,makesureallconnectionsaretightandcomponentsareingoodcondition.
•
Neveruseyourhandtocheckforsuspectedleaksunderpressure.Useapieceofcardboardorwoodforthis
purpose.
•
Ifinjuredbyleakinguid,seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
•
Thehydraulichosesandttingsonyourmachinemeetengineeringspecicationsfortheparticularfunction.When
replacingdamaged,blownorwornhosesorttings,useonlymanufactureauthorizedserviceparts.

Careinhydraulichoseinstallationisamust:

Makesurepressureisrelievedbeforestartinginstallationprocedure.
•
DONOTkinkortwistahose,failuremayoccur.
•
Properlyroutethehose.
•
Haveacertiedhydraulictechnicianinstallthehose.

Removeairfromthehydraulicsystemafterinstallinganyhydrauliccomponent.

Periodicallycheckhydraulicsystemforleaksordamage.checkfor:

Leaksathosettingorinhose.

Damagedhosesand/orttings.
•
Kinked,crushed,attened,hardblistered,heatcracked,charred,twisted,softorloosecoveredhoses.

Corrodedordamagedttings.
•
Leakingports.
•
Excessivedirtanddebrisaroundhosesand/orttings.
•
Damagedormissinghoseretainingclamps,guards,shields,etc.
