Toavoiddamagetotheelectronic/electricalsystems,alwaysobservethefollowing:
1.Nevermakeorbreakanyofthechargingcircuitconnections,includingthebatteryconnections,whentheengine
isrunning.
2.Nevershortanyofthechargingcomponentstoground.
3.Alwaysdisconnectthegroundcablefromthebatterybeforearcweldingontheunit.

Positiontheweldergroundclampasclosetotheweldingareaaspossible.
•
Ifweldingincloseproximitytoacomputermodule,thenthemoduleshouldberemovedfromtheunit.
•
Neverallowweldingcablestolayon,nearoracrossanyelectricalwiringorelectroniccomponentwhile
weldingisinprogress.
4.Alwaysdisconnectthenegativecablefromthebatterywhenchargingthebatteryintheunitwithabattery
charger.
NOTICE:Ifweldingmustbeperformedontheunit,thebatterygroundcablemustbedisconnectedfromthebattery.
Theelectronicmonitoringsystemandchargingsystemwillbedamagedifthisisnotdone.
