Application
1.Fornewmachine;
hismanualistobeusedtochecktheactualperformanceandfunctionsofthemachinecomparedwiththePER-
FORMANCESTANDARDS.
2.Atspecicself-inspection(asperLOCALRULES);
Themaintenancestandardsareusedtomakethemasthecriteriatodeterminethetimeforreconditioning,ad-
justmentandreplacement.
3.Atdeteriorationofperformance;
Thismanualisofthecriteriaofsafeandeconomicaljudgmentwhetherthedeteriorationofperformanceonthe
machinewouldbecausedbyanyfaultsornormaldeteriorationduetomachineoperationforalongperiod.
4.Forreplacementofmajorcomponents:
Thismanualisofthestandardtodeterminethetimeforreplacementtorecovertheperformanceofmajorcompo-
nentssuchaspump,etc.
Terminology
1.Standardvalues:
Theseareofthestandardvaluestoassembleandregulateanewmachine.Wherespecialnotesarenotgiven,
thesevaluesarebasedonthemachinewithstandardstructure(themachinewithstandardattachmentsand
shoes).
2.Standardvaluesforrepair:
Theseareofthevaluesatwhichthereconditioningisrequired.Inordertoensuretheperformanceandsafety,it
isstrictlyprohibitedtousethemachinewiththepartsandcomponentsbeingoverthestandardvalues.
3.Serviceabilitylimit:
Thisisoftheservicelimitforeachpartandcomponentatwhichthereconditioningisimpossibleandtheymustbe
replacedtonewones.
Allthepartsandcomponentswhichareestimatedtoexceedtheserviceabilitylimituptothenextperiodicalin-
spectionandmaintenance,shouldbealsoreplacedtonewones.
Themachineoperationwiththepartsandcomponentswhichhaveexceededtheserviceabilitylimit,causesin-
creaseoftroublesanddowntimeofthemachine,andalsocausessafetyproblems.
Precautionsforjudgment
1.Evaluationformeasureddata:
Itisinevitablesomevariationonthemeasureddataduetodifferencesbetweenmeasuringconditions,peculiar
variabilityonanewmachine,oldandnewversionsofthemachineandmeasuringcharacteristics.Thejudgment
forthemeasureddatashouldbecomprehensivelyconductedbasedontheextentoflevelofthemeasureddata,
insteadofmerecomparisonwiththestandardvalues.
2.Determinationforreconditioning,adjustmentorreplacement:
Therearetwokindsofdeteriorationofmachineperformance;oneisduetonormalwearwithtimeelapsingof
operation,andtheotherisrecoverabletothestandardvalueswiththeadjustmentforpressure,etc.
Therefore,thedeterminationforreconditioning,adjustmentorreplacementshouldbeconductedtakingvarious
factorsintoconsiderationsuchasoperatinghours,workingconditionsandmaintenanceconditionsofthemachine,
sothatthemachineisabletobeoperatedattheoptimumperformancelevel.
Otherprecautions
1.Partswithagingeffect:
Therubberproductssuchashydraulichoses,O-rings,oilseals,etc.aredeterioratedwiththeagingeffect.Itis
necessarytoreplacethemtonewonesatperiodicalintervalsorateveryoverhaul.
2.Partsrequiredperiodicalreplacement:
ItisrecommendabletodesignatetheimportanthosescriticaltosecurethesafetyasVeryImportantParts(V.I.P .),
andperiodicallyreplacewithnewones.
