STEP 49
Remove the precleaner.
If
the air cleaner
is
equipped
with a cap, loosen the clamp and remove the cap.
STEP 50
Disconnect
the
hoses from
the
tubes for the oil cooler.
Install a cap
on
each hose and plug
in
each tube fitting.

Remove the plugs and loosen and remove the cap
screws, lock washers, and flat washers that fasten the
hood.

STEP 52
Connect suitable lifting equipment to the hood and
remove
the
hood.
STEP 53
Disconnect
the
ground cables and the positive cables
from the batteries.

Loosen the self-locking nuts
on
the bolts for the battery
hold down brackets. Remove the battery hold down
brackets.
