Becarefulwithpressurizeduids

Fuelorhydraulicuidunderpressurecanpenetrate
theskinoreyes,causingseriousinjuries,blindness,or
death.
•
Avoidthishazardbyreleasingthepressurefromthe
systemsbeforedisconnectingthehydraulicorfuel
lines.
•
Tightenallconnectionsbeforepressurizingthesys-
tems.
•
Searchforleakswithapieceofcardboardorwood,
takingcaretoprotectthehandsandbodyfromhigh
pressureuids.
•
Wearafaceshieldorprotectivegogglestoprotectthe
eyes.
•
Ifanaccidentoccurs,seeadoctorimmediately.
•
Anyuidinjectedintotheskinmustbetreatedquickly
toavoidmajorhealthproblems.
•
Neverperformrepairsonpressurizedcomponentsuntil
thepressurehasbeenreleased.
•
Useextremecautionwhenyouremovetheradiator,
theexpansiontankorthecovers,thedrainplugs,the
greasettings,orotherpressurecomponents.
•
Parkthemachineandletitcoolbeforeopeningapres-
surizedtank.
•
Releaseallpressurebeforeyouworkonsystemswith
anaccumulator.
•
Hydraulicuidordieselfuelthatleaksunderpressure
canpenetratetheskinandcauseinfectionorotherin-
juries.
NOTE:Topreventpersonalinjury,relieveallpressure
beforedisconnectinguidlinesorperformingworkon
thehydraulicsystem.

Beforeapplyingpressure,makecertainallconnections
aretightandcomponentsareingoodcondition.
•
Useapieceofcardboard,newspaper,orwoodtocheck
foranypressurizedleakstopreventuidpenetrating
theskin.
•
Unexpectedmovementofthemachinecouldoccur.
