The
channels
need
not
be sequential,

of the available
channels

through
16
can
be
used.
For
example,
four
tone
channels
can be set
as:

07.
One
of
these tone channels
is selected
as a
basic chan-
nel.
As
noted
in the tables below,
certain
messages
can
be received
via the
basic
channel only.
The
data controlled
by
these
messages cannot
be ap-
plied
to
individual
channels. Rather,
these
messages
are
received via
the basic
channel
and are
applied
to
all
channels simultaneously.
