How to fix a Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace when there is no spark?
    • D
      Derek CarrAug 22, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace isn't sparking at the ODS/pilot when you press the ignitor button, it could be due to several reasons: the ignitor electrode might be positioned incorrectly or broken, it may not be connected to the ignitor cable, the ignitor cable could be pinched or wet, the ignitor cable may be broken, the piezo ignitor might be faulty, or the battery could be low. To resolve this, replace the electrode if it's broken or mispositioned. Replace the ignitor cable if it's damaged or disconnected. If the cable is pinched, free it from any metal or tubing and ensure it stays dry. Replace the piezo ignitor if it's bad, and replace the battery if it's low.

What to do if burner does not light on my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace after pilot is lit?
    • S
      Steven HarperAug 26, 2025
If the burner on your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace doesn't light after the ODS/pilot is lit, it could be because the burner orifice is clogged, the burner orifice diameter is too small, or the inlet gas pressure is too low. To address this, try cleaning the burner orifice or replacing it. If the issue persists, consider replacing the burner orifice. If the inlet gas pressure is too low, contact your local gas supplier for assistance.

Why is my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace burner backfiring?
    • M
      matthewwilliamsAug 27, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace burner backfires during combustion, it could be due to a clogged or damaged burner orifice, a damaged burner, or a damaged gas regulator. To fix this, try cleaning the burner orifice or replacing it. If the burner is damaged, replace it. If the gas regulator is the problem, replace that as well.

Why is the flame yellow on my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Matthew MillerAug 30, 2025
If you notice a yellow flame during burner combustion in your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to not enough air, a defective gas regulator, or the inlet gas pressure being too low. To address this, check the burner for dirt and debris and clean it if necessary. If the gas regulator is defective, replace it. If the inlet gas pressure is too low, contact your local gas supplier.

Why does my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace make a whistling noise?
    • C
      Charles ShortSep 5, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace produces a whistling noise when the burner is lit, it could be due to turning the control knob to the high position when the burner is cold, air in the gas line, blocked air passageways, or a dirty/partially clogged burner orifice. Try turning the control knob to the low position and letting the burner warm up for a minute. If there's air in the gas line, operate the burner until the air is removed, and have the gas line checked by your local gas supplier. Ensure that you observe minimum installation clearances. Clean the burner or replace the burner orifice if it's dirty or clogged.

Why does my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace shut off while in use?
    • R
      Renee JenningsSep 7, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace heater shuts off during use (ODS operates), it could be due to not enough fresh air being available, low line pressure, or a partially clogged ODS/pilot. To address this, open a window and/or door for ventilation. If the line pressure is low, contact your local gas supplier. If the ODS/pilot is partially clogged, clean it.

Why does my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace smell?
    • R
      Rhonda McgeeSep 13, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace produces unwanted odors, it may be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, glues, etc. Also, there could be a gas leak or a low fuel supply. Open a window to ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. Refill the supply tank if you are using Propane/LP models.

What to do if my Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace has a spark but no ignition?
    • C
      Courtney LevyNov 16, 2025
If your Cedar Ridge Indoor Fireplace isn't igniting even though there's a spark at the ODS/pilot, the possible causes include a turned-off gas supply or a closed equipment shutoff valve. The control knob might not be fully pressed in while you're pressing the ignitor button, or there could be air in the gas lines, especially after a new installation or gas interruption. The ODS/pilot could also be clogged, the control knob might not be in the PILOT position, or the gas supply might be depleted (if using propane). To resolve this, ensure the gas supply is on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Fully press in the control knob while pressing the ignitor button. If there's air in the lines, keep holding down the control knob and repeat the igniting operation until the air is removed. Clea...
