  If wood won't split or splits extremely slowly on your Central Machinery Log Splitter, consider these potential causes: * There might be air in the oil. Check for excessive air in the hydraulic reservoir. * There could be excessive control valve inlet vacuum. Inspect the control valve inlet hose for blockages or kinks. * The control valve setting may be low. Have a qualified service technician adjust the control valve with a pressure gauge. * There may be an internal control valve leak. If so, have a qualified service technician repair or replace the control valve. * The cylinder might be internally damaged. In this case, have a qualified service technician repair or replace the cylinder.
