(8) Connect electrical plug at flush switch.
(9) Connect electrical connector to toilet.
(10) Install the upholstery.
(11) Place toilet seat/fascia near installed position and connect toilet flush switch and toilet fascia toekick
lights.
(12) Place toilet seat/fascia into position and secure toilet fascia brackets with two (2) screws.
(13) Secure carpet to floorboard by engaging hook and pile fasteners.
(14) Lift toilet lid and replace two (2) screws on outboard side of seat/fascia to secure.
(15) Place toilet lower back cushion into place and press outboard on upper edge to secure hook and pile
fasteners.
(16) Place toilet upper back cushion into place and press outboard to engage hook and pile fasteners.
(17) Service toilet, Refer to Chapter 12 - Servicing, Externally Serviceable Flush Toilet in Production 680
Maintenance Manual.
(a) Remove ground service unit.
(b) Put electrical power to aircraft and put EXT PWR (SI107) switch, located on electrical switch panel,
to ON.
(c) Operate the flush switch a minimum of three flush cycles. The flush cycles should be
approximately eight (8) seconds in length.
(d) Check for water leaks around the water inlet line and drain collar.
(e) Remove access panels needed to get access to toilet tank seal. Refer to Chapter 6, Access Plates
and Panels Identification - Description and Operation in Production 680 Maintenance Manual.
(f) Check for leaks around toilet tank seal and drain line clamps.
(g) Install access panels.
(18) Connect battery and replace external power to aircraft.
(19) Turn on L BATT, R BATT and INTERIOR electrical switches, located in Electrical panel on pilot side of
instrument panel. Electrical panel is located just right of pilot’s yoke and left of center console on the lower
portion of instrument panel.
(20) Engage CB110V TOILET and CB106V RH PATH LIGHTS circuit breakers for the toilet, located in
Interior J-box. The Interior J-box is located in bottom of aft bulkhead closet on right-hand side. Lift latch
and remove access panel, which is held in place with latch and magnets, to access J-box cover. With
access panel removed, press J-box cover latch to release latch and open J-box cover. Push breakers in to
engage.
3 Operations and Inspections
A. Ground Operation and Leak Test
(1) Preparation.
(a) Visually inspect toilet tank assembly to ensure proper installation of tank, fill line and drain pull cable.
(b) Open the service door.
(c) Disconnect water filler cap and open outer waste drain valve.
(2) Indicator Lights and Solenoid Valve Test.
(a) Turn inlet water on and fill tank with 1.0 gallon, +0.1 or -0.1 gallon (3.8 l, +0.4 or -0.4 liter).
(b) Ensure the precharge level light is activated. If light is activated, continue to fill the toilet tank.
(c) The overfill level light should activate, closing the solenoid valve. This will keep water from
overfilling the toilet tank. Turn inlet water off.
NOTE: If the solenoid does not activate after a total of 3.8 gallons (14 l) of water has been added to
tank, stop adding fluid to avoid flooding. The overfill protection feature is not functioning properly.
