3. Use the spark plug socket and wrench

from the tool kit to
remove the spark plug.
4. Check the spark plug gap (A) using a thickness gauge.
Adjust the gap if necessary.
NOTE
Specified spark plug: DCPR8E (NGK)
Spark plug gap: 0.035 in. ~ 0.045 in. (0.8 mm ~ 0.9 mm)
5. Clean the gasket surface. Wipe off any grime from the
threads.
6. Install spark plug and tighten to specified torque.
NOTE
7. Spark plug torque: 14.8 ft-lb (20 N•m). If a torque wrench is
not available when you are installing a spark plug, a good
estimate of the correct torque is 1/4 to 1/2 turn past finger
tight.
8. Install the spark plug cap.
9. Install the side panel.
