QuickQ Console Testing

Testing procedure
1. Mechanical checks
Build quality, visual check of the outside all screws present, screen print, rattle
2. System boot and external HDMI
Plug in HDMI monitor, plug in power supply and IEC that comes with console, verify
menu appears on HDMI monitor (boot can take up to 10s).
Unplug power and HDMI.
3. Internal screen and touchscreen
Plug in power (without HDMI), verify menu appears on internal screen, verify
touchscreen works.
4. Built-in factory tests
Go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Update → Run Startup App (DO NOT PRESS THE BOARD
TEST BUTTON HERE) → Confirm → More Options → Factory tests → Select ‘Set
Product’ → QuickQ 10/20/30, work through tests until all have ticks (✓), connecting
the various test cables as prompted. Each test will prompt when to connect test cables
and gives visual indicators to follow.
Note – You will NOT be able to do the Wired Ethernet and Wifi test during these tests
These ports/functions are tested separately at the end.
1. Audio (this can take up to 3 attempts to pass) - C
2. MIDI
3. Direct DMX ports 1 and 2
4. Power + Recovery Buttons
5. Touchscreen
6. Wing fader panels left and right (fader panels with LEDs to the left of the
screen, check LEDs are all white and all look the same colour, check lenses are free
from dust)
7. Master fader panel (playback faders below screen)
8. Test USB desk lamp – Plug in and check LED light comes on.
The Wired Ethernet & Wi-Fi are tested separately and not using these inbuilt tests.
