Overview

The Chefman French Door Air Fryer + Oven is a versatile 26-quart kitchen appliance designed for air frying, broiling, baking, toasting, and rotisserie cooking. Its sleek, matte-black steel exterior and windowed double doors make it an attractive and functional addition to any kitchen.

Function Description:

This appliance combines multiple cooking functions, offering a wide range of culinary possibilities. It features both upper and lower heating elements, along with a convection fan, to ensure optimal heat distribution for various cooking needs.

  • Air Fry: Utilizes fast-moving hot air for crisping food without excessive oil. Ideal for frozen prepared foods, french fries, chicken wings, and vegetables. It employs a dedicated upper coil heating element for superior crisping.
  • Bake: A general cooking method similar to a conventional oven, suitable for small-batch cookies, brownies, or cakes. It uses both top and bottom heating elements.
  • Toast: Designed to toast multiple slices of bread or bagels simultaneously to desired brownness. It uses both top and bottom heating elements.
  • Convection Bake: Similar to the regular Bake function but incorporates a fan to circulate hot air, resulting in faster baking and making it an excellent choice for roasting. It uses both top and bottom heating elements with the fan.
  • Keep Warm: Uses only the lower heating elements to gently warm already cooked foods, perfect for reheating leftovers without drying them out.
  • Broil: Cooks food using intense heat from the upper heating elements, suitable for meats, fish, and browning dishes like gratins and casseroles. This function also activates the rotisserie gears.
  • Rotisserie: Allows for slow roasting of food on a spit, perfect for whole chickens (up to 5 pounds), boneless meat pieces, or even vegetables like cauliflower and pineapple, ensuring crisp perfection. It uses only the top heating elements with the rotisserie mechanism.

Important Technical Specifications:

The oven operates with an oven timer that goes up to 60 minutes, which must be set for the unit to power on. The temperature dial allows for settings from 200°F to 450°F, depending on the chosen function. A power light indicates when the timer is set and the unit is operating. An oven light button provides visibility inside the oven during cooking.

Usage Features:

The French Door Air Fryer + Oven is designed for user convenience.

  • French Doors: The double doors open simultaneously and swing out beyond 105 degrees, providing easy access for placing and removing food, as well as for cleaning.
  • Cool-Touch Door Handles: Ensures safe handling of the oven doors during and after operation.
  • Rack Slots: Multiple rack positions allow for flexible placement of accessories to suit different cooking requirements.
  • Accessories: The oven comes with several useful accessories:
    • Air Fry Basket: Designed for optimal air circulation during air frying.
    • Baking Pan/Drip Tray: Serves as a baking surface or to catch drips from food cooked on racks or the air fry basket.
    • Wire Rack: A versatile rack for baking, toasting, or supporting other bakeware.
    • Crumb Tray: Located at the bottom of the oven to collect crumbs and drips, making cleanup easier. It should always be inserted during operation.
    • Spit Forks and Screws: Used with the spit rod for rotisserie cooking, securing food in place.
    • Spit Rod: The central component for rotisserie cooking, designed to rotate food evenly.
    • Spit Removal Tool: A specialized tool for safely removing the hot spit rod and food from the oven.
  • Preheating: For best results, especially with baking, preheating the oven for about 5 minutes is recommended.
  • Timer Setting: To set a time of less than 20 minutes, the timer dial must first be turned past the 20-minute mark and then back to the desired lower time.
  • Safety Features: The appliance has a polarized plug for safety. It is crucial to follow all safety instructions, including not immersing the cord or plug in water, not touching hot surfaces without protection, and ensuring proper ventilation.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning the Air Fryer + Oven is straightforward:

  • Cool Down: Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Crumb Tray: The removable crumb tray should be slid out, emptied, and wiped clean. For baked-on grease, soak it in hot, sudsy water. It is NOT dishwasher-safe.
  • Dishwasher-Safe Accessories: The wire rack, air fry basket, and spit (rod, forks, and screws) are top-rack dishwasher-safe.
  • Hand Wash Only Accessories: The baking pan/drip tray and spit removal tool should be hand washed and are not dishwasher-safe.
  • Interior Cleaning: Wipe the interior walls with warm, sudsy water and a damp cloth or sponge. Regular removal of grease prevents smoke and ensures consistent cooking. Abrasive cleaners like steel wool pads should NOT be used as they can damage the finish.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Door Glass: Wash the glass on the door with dish soap and warm water using a sponge, soft cloth, or nylon pad. Do not use spray glass cleaner.
  • Drying: Ensure the unit and all accessories are fully dry before storing.

The Chefman French Door Air Fryer + Oven is designed to simplify cooking with its multi-functional capabilities and user-friendly design, making it a valuable tool for everyday meals and special occasions.
