Why Chicago Electric 69334 won't start?
    • B
      bassglenAug 1, 2025
There are several possible reasons why your Chicago Electric Rotary Hammer might not start: 1. The power cord may not be properly connected. Ensure the cord is securely plugged in. 2. There may be no power at the outlet. Check the outlet for power. If it's unpowered, turn off the tool and check the circuit breaker. If the breaker is tripped, ensure the circuit has the correct capacity for the tool and no other loads are present. 3. The tool's thermal reset breaker may have tripped (if equipped). Turn off the tool, allow it to cool down, and then press the reset button on the tool. 4. There could be internal damage or wear, such as with the carbon brushes or switch. In this case, have a qualified technician service the tool.

      ryan64Aug 6, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Rotary Hammer is overheating, consider the following: 1. You might be forcing the tool to work too fast. Allow the tool to work at its own pace. 2. The accessory might be misaligned. Check and correct the alignment of the accessory. 3. The accessory could be dull or damaged. Keep cutting accessories sharp and replace them as needed. 4. The motor housing vents might be blocked. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and a NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator while using compressed air to blow dust out of the motor. 5. The motor might be strained by a long or small diameter extension cord. Eliminate the use of an extension cord if possible. If one is necessary, use a cord with the correct diameter for its length and the load.
