pressed again in this operating mode,
the brightness variation cycle will
begin again, starting from maximum
level.
Press the night light on/off button
(3) button again for 2 seconds and
the night light will switch off, both in
minimum, steady brightness and in
variable brightness night light mode.
For energy savings, when the child
unit (primarily in image and sound
transmitter mode) is being powered
via alkaline batteries, the night light
switches off automatically after 5
minutes if in minimum brightness and
steady mode and after the end of the
brightness variation cycle if in variable
brightness mode.
If the child unit (primarily in image
and sound transmitter mode) is be-
ing powered via mains adapter (1),
the night light will remain on in both
modes until the button (3) is pressed
again for 2 seconds.
The night light can be switched when
the child unit is off or when it is on in
any mode.
Switching the child unit on/off in Mu-
sic mode
Playing lullabies
The child unit can play 6 lullabies to
reassure your child.
Press the lullaby on/off/selection but-
ton (15) for about 2 seconds. The child
unit will begin to play a sequence of
6 stored lullabies and the display will
show the
icon with the number
corresponding to the lullaby being
played
.
If the child unit is already in mu-
sic mode and connected to an MP3
player (not included), simply remove
the supplied audio cable (18) from the
child unit audio input (13) to activate
the lullabies.
CAUTION: it is only possible to acti-
vate lullabies if the child unit is not in
Baby Monitor mode.
To select a lullaby, press the lullaby
on/off/selection button (15) until
you find the one you wish to play. The
number of the tune being played will
change automatically. To adjust lulla-
by volume, see the ‘+ - volume adjust-
ment of the child unit loudspeaker’
paragraph.
Caution: if, while playing lullabies, the
supplied audio cable jack (18) is insert-
ed in the audio input (13) of the child
unit, the lullabies will be deactivated,
the
icons will light up on the display
and music from the MP3 player (not
included), switched on and connected
to the other end of the audio cable
(18), will play.
To switch off the lullaby feature, press
the lullaby on/off/selection button
(15) again for about 2 seconds. The
child unit will switch itself off.
Each time lullabies are switched off
and on again, the play sequence will
start with the lullaby after the last
one heard.
Playing from a music player that is
not included
It is possible to play music stored on
an external music player, not included,
by means of the child unit loudspeaker
(19).
CAUTION: music can only be played
if the child unit is not in Baby Moni-
tor mode.
Switch on the music player and adjust
the volume.
Connect the two supplied audio cable
jacks to the audio output of the music
player and to the audio input (13) on
the child unit.
Position the child unit and the music
player on a flat, stable surface, away
from the reach of children.
Press the lullaby on/off/selection but-
ton (15) for about 2 seconds.
The child unit will automatically play
the music stored in the external music
player and the display will show the
icon.
If the child unit is already in music
mode and is playing lullabies, to ac-
tivate the MP3 player (not included),
simply connect the supplied audio
cable (18), already connected to the
player, to the child unit audio input
(13).
Caution: To select songs to listen to
or adjust the volume, use the music
player functions themselves. It is not
possible to select songs or adjust play-
back volume using the buttons on the
child unit.
Caution: Be sure to adjust the volume
of the external music player to a mod-
erate level before connection to the
child unit.
Caution: If the music player is off, no
sound will be heard from the child unit
loudspeaker.
