MP3 player (not supplied), the sup-
plied audio cable jack (18) is removed
from the audio input (13) on the child
unit, the music from the player will be
deactivated and the lullabies stored in
the child unit will be played automati-
cally. The display will show the
icon with the number of the lullaby
being played
.
To switch off music play, press the
lullaby on/off/selection button (13)
again for about 2 seconds. The child
unit will switch itself off. For details
on the icons shown on the display (17)
in Music mode, refer to paragraph 1.4.
Temperature sensor
A temperature sensor (14) that de-
tects the child’s room temperature is
located on the back of the child unit.
The temperature is shown on the
display (17) on the child unit in Baby
Monitor mode, Music mode and Tem-
perature Measuring mode and on the
display (4) on the parent unit in Baby
Monitor mode only.
Under 16°C and over 26°C, the num-
bers related to the measured temper-
ature will begin to flash. In this case,
it is recommended to set the correct
temperature level in the child’s room.
To ensure that the data is measured
reliably, make sure that the sensor
(14) on the back of the unit is posi-
tioned in a free area and not in contact
with any other objects or surfaces.
Important: the temperature sensor
(14) on the child unit should be used
only as indicative tool for detecting
the temperature in the child’s room
and is not intended to be used as a
medical instrument.
Switching the child unit on/off in
Temperature Measuring mode
The child unit can also function as a
simple temperature measuring appli-
ance. If the on/off button (2) is pressed
once, the child unit will come on in
Temperature mode and the display (17)
will show the temperature in the room
°C.
Under 16°C and over 26°C, the num-
bers related to the measured temper-
ature will begin to flash. In this case,
it is recommended to set the correct
temperature level in the child’s room.
If the button (2) is pressed again, the
child unit will go off.
For details on the icons shown on the
display (17) in Temperature Measuring
mode, refer to paragraph 1.4.
Operating indicator lights
The power and link indicator light (9)
supplies 3 different pieces of informa-
tion:
- Steady green: the appliance is on in
Baby Monitor mode and properly con-
nected to the parent unit.
- Flashing green: loss or absence of link
with the parent unit in Baby Monitor
mode. The display (17) shows the
icon at the same time.
As soon as the link with the parent
unit is restored, the indicator light (9)
will light up steady green and the
icon will appear on the display.
NOTE: when the child unit is switched
on, it searches for the channel to link
to the parent unit, therefore the indi-
cator light (8) will flash green and the
display will show the
icon until a
link is established.
-Off: the appliance is off or on in Mu-
sic mode or in Temperature Measuring
mode.
•The alkaline battery status indicator
light (12) supplies 2 different pieces of
information:
-Flashing red: alkaline batteries al-
most flat.
-Off: alkaline batteries charged or op-
eration via mains adapter (1).
Night Vision
In case of darkness or a decrease in the
brightness of the room where the child
unit is located, the light-sensitive sen-
sor (8) will automatically activate the
infrared lighting system (7) to allow
viewing of the child even in the dark.
Caution: when night vision is active,
the parent unit display (4) image col-
ours will be altered and, in the event
of darkness, the images will appear in
black and white. This is normal.
Digital Zoom Adjustment
It is possible to enlarge the image
of the child by activating the digital
zoom on the child unit video camera
(5). The zoom is activated from the
main menu on the parent unit in Baby
Monitor mode. When the zoom is ac-
tive, the
icon appears on the display
(4) on the parent unit.
